In the film's alternate ending, Casey proposes marriage to April and she accepts. April was reporting on a series of high-tech equipment thefts when she came under attack by a gang of street punks. This is due to her being a half human, half Kraang-mutant as her mother was abducted and experimented on by the Kraang before she was born. April was originally voiced by Renae Jacobs.

Description: It was reported there was a filmed but unused scene of a fight between April, Vernon Fenwick, Karai, and The Foot in downtown Manhattan that was cut from the finished film. No mention was made of her past as a journalist; instead, she now appears to be involved in archaeology. Her inherent psionic abilities are first hinted at in Episode 7, "Monkey Brains", when she had detected that a mutant-monkey was, in fact, a human scientist; merely saying that she "sometimes get a feeling about things", implying that she possesses extrasensory abilities as well. With the help of the Utroms, the Turtles injected April with turtle versions of nanobots to stop Baxter's plan. However, her role was similar to that of the Mirage Studios character: again, she served as an assistant to Baxter Stockman until his Mouser experiments got out of control, and after the Turtles saved her she became a faithful friend, ally, and "big sister" to them.
